The aim of this site is to feature Hereford United related news and match reports from 1990 to 2002. At present the content is very limited for the early years but from 1997 there is more information, much of which was originally published on Peter Povall's HUFC site and Terry Goodwin's www.hu-fc.co.uk site. June 97

June 11th:
HEREFORD United have submitted plans to South Herefordshire District Council to build a £5M 10,000 all-seat stadium on 55 acres of farmland outside the city. United, relegated from the Football League last month, would need to spend £2.5M to upgrade their Edgar Street ground to meet League requirements if they were to win the GM Vauxhall Conference.

June 19th:

THE very first HUISA (Hereford United Independent Supporters Association) newsletter was published by Mike "GFB" Quarrell also known as 'HUISA CO-ORDINATOR AND FAT BLOKE'.

HUISA had met with Graham Turner on June 17th in what was the second of, they hoped, a regular series of meetings.

In the meeting HUISA were given a players update. The squad so far was: DeBont, Mackenzie (non-contract), Norts, Matthewson, Fishlock, Pitman, Mahon, McGorry, Ian Foster, Jordan and Shakey.

Other items included: A very polished presentation was given by David Dawe, the Architect associated with the Planning Application submitted by Bristol Stadiums Ltd and the Club. It meets all required Govt. Planning Policy Guidelines and is impressive to look at in the designs and artists impressions. The Company are confident of approval although it was stated that the support of Fans was critical. There remain financial concerns associated with the relocation (i.e. how much money will find its way to the Team and how much will go "elsewhere") which Mr. Dawe obviously could not answer

June 27th:

THE Hereford United chairman, Peter Hill, is to make an 11th-hour appeal for his side to be reinstated to the League. Hill claims that Brighton, who finished one place above Hereford last season, have not complied with the League's demand for £500,000 bond which should have been lodged at the end of last week.
